About Me

Hello and welcome! My name is Nyamaa, but you can call me Nema. I was born and raised in Khovd, a beautiful and culturally rich town in western Mongolia, located about 1,500 km from Ulaanbaatar. Khovd is close to Bayan-Ölgii, a Kazakh-majority city near the Russian border. I have lived in Khovd all my life and would love to share the beauty and culture of my hometown with you. The area around Khovd is known for its breathtaking natural scenery, especially along the Khovd and Buyant rivers. There, you can stay in traditional Mongolian yurts (gers) surrounded by stunning mountain views and enjoy the warmth of local hospitality. As your host, I can also drive you to nearby cities, including Ulgii, where you can hike the majestic Altai Mountains the highest in Mongolia. I offer guided trips to historical and cultural sites in Khovd and the surrounding region using my own car, making your experience comfortable and authentic. During the summer, you’re welcome to stay in my traditional summer house, which is set up along the riverside. It’s a peaceful and scenic location where you can relax and connect with nature. I am a proud father of five children, and I’ve spent my life driving across the Mongolian countryside. My daughter helps me with English translation, and if you speak Spanish or French, her boyfriend can assist you as well — he speaks both fluently.
